St Francis players is a singing group that meets weekly on a Thursday (2.30-4.30pm in the winter months and 7-9pm in the summer months) We are a friendship group that share an interest in music. We meet on Thursday evenings and usual arrange two or three events each year. These can range from a sing-along of old favourites to more ambitious concerts. We particularly enjoy Roger Jones productions and have performed musicals including “Pharisee” and “Jairus´ Daughter”. We also sing at the local care homes in our parish – Cambron House and Silverwood Care Home. We welcome new members. You don’t need to be able to read music, most of us don’t, but we do just enjoy music and each other’s company.
